Janet Vinnell

Janet Vinnell, a native of Dublin, Ireland, first began painting in oil and watercolour after moving to Galway.

She began experimenting in pastel after seeing the work of pastellist Victor Richardson in The Kenny Gallery. The discovery of chalk pastel completely transformed her work. She takes great pleasure in depicting the constantly changing skyline of Galway.

She has exhibited with local group Artscope and also participated in Mixed exhibitions at The Kenny Gallery, and Timber Leaves, Galway and the Little Lane Gallery, Galway.
